Exercises with the Meditation Text
"More radiant than the sun ...." and
Sentences from "Light on the Path..."

Because of the need for continuity in esoteric working, in 1904 Rudolf Steiner contacted the Esoteric School of Theosophy in London. Thus at the start he gave out as a text for meditation " More radiant than the sun / Purer than the snow / Finer than the ether / Is the Self / The Spirit in my heart / I am this Self / This Self am I" in the form of a German translation probably done by himself, and a few sentences from "Light on the Path " by Mabel Collins "Before the eye [can see..." and "Seek out the way ...".

For this history also compare GA 264.
